This was a MAX power Case I launch off catapult 2. You can see that catapult 1 (the catapult immediately to my right) was undergoing maintenance, so the handler had jets stacked on it. Space is a premium on the flight deck. After I launch, you see me execute a clearing turn to the right, then back to the left. This "clearing turn" is a visual signal to other aircraft in the pattern of my intention to depart the pattern. No comms required. As you can see, I need to find a better place to put my charts.
