It was overdue for a remix. We pulled out the same digital source we made in 2019. This is the result. Rubinstein had great success with this concerto, his recordings from 1961 and 1976 are very well known. The present recording is one of his most unique. It comes from his "Hollywood Period", when he was doing a lot of work for motion pictures; the industry had a brief attraction to classical music, and Rubinstein performed both behind, and in front of the cameras. Remember him saying: "Bach! Bach! Bach!" in "Carnegie Hall"? This is especially a treat because we are hearing him with the Philadelphia Orchestra which, like Rubinstein in 1942, was at its peak.
