The Cirque de Gavernie is a great little hike, starting from the Gavernie village just a couple of kilometers away, and a must-do if you're in the Pyrenees area. The Cirque de Gavernie is also home to the Gavernie falls, one of Europe's highest waterfalls at over 400m high. Beware - if you're planning on hiking the Cirque de Gavernie, parking in the village of Gavernie can get very busy, particularly in the summer months, so plan ahead and get up early to beat the crowds.
