The exercise portion of a guide created in collaboration with Hive Ultimate on the Throw 'n' Go -------------------------------------------------- Check out Hive's part here: • Perfecting the Throw'n'Go [APPLICATIONS] -... -------------------------------------------------- The "no-pivot" or "half-pivot" is commonly seen in the higher levels of Ultimate, especially as a throw-and-go. Some of the critical points of focus for this move are: 1) Hip Hinge The act of getting low primarily should come from the hips. Making sure you have the ability to hinge into the hips is essential 2) Hip Internal Rotation Having the hip internally rotate allows for a more significant loading of the hip musculature and movement of the torso. 3) Torso Rotation The thoracic spine needs to rotate in order to allow the throwing shoulder to drop.
