Last weekend I had the pleasure to perform my new routine in Strasbourg, France, at the Strasbourg Christmas Swing 2022 organized by Lindy Spot. Thank you guys so much for the invitation to join you as a teacher in the solo track and also for the stage for this performance ❤️ I heard this special tune by Duke Ellington - Malletoba Spank - for the first time in the beginning on 2020 (just before Covid hit the world), and marked it to myself as a song I want to create something to. Duke Ellington just keeps inspiring me with his magical creations. From his early materials to the later years. Also, there are so many gems he created, both originals as well as some amazing versions of known classics - that I just keep being surprised when finding more of these gems from time to time. It was such a pleasure performing a new piece in front of several hunderds of people. I was very humbled by the excitement and support that I got after it from the audience, and just as importantly, really grateful for all the support I got from my friends before that show ❤️🙌 Above all, thanks to my love Sharon Dobrovinsky that really supported me and encouraged me not to postpone it and to keep creating even during some very challenging times recently ❤️
