BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's Millerhill Depot and Yard (Edinburgh) on 12th April 1990 Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Millerhill taken on 12/04/1990. A once thriving large yard not too many years before this clip was made. I remember visiting here back in the 1970s with loose fitted trains as a young driver's assistant (secondman in those days). Then a lot of the yard was still in situ and the constant whistling of class 40s and 20s in the calm of the night, also the throb of the 25s, 26s in the dark is how I recall of the place. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories as it does me.
