In 1981 movie superstar Elizabeth Taylor made a run at stardom in the legitimate theater. The first step on that successful journey was taken in South Florida, at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale with the opening of a new production of "The Little Foxes." Taylor starred as scheming southern belle Regina Giddens and took the role to a successful Broadway run later in the year. Shortly after her Fort Lauderdale opening she sat down in a busy restaurant with WTVJ's critic-at-large, Sam Hirsch, to talk about the show, taking risks, and her famous violet eyes. The interview features footage of "The Little Foxes," including a curtain call with Taylor's then-husband, U.S. Senator John Warner.
