EP90: Learning How to Cook Our Favorite Dishes at the Best Restaurant in Kotor, Montenegro One of our favorite things about traveling is learning about the local cuisine - and eating lots of delicious food! While in Montenegro, we found that we stumbled onto our favorite restaurant literally on our first trip into Old Town Kotor. Time and time again we returned to Cesarica and it quickly became "our spot" in town. We've tried all of their delicious risottos, stuffed squid, grilled fish, soups, sides, homemade bread and salads. Before long we narrowed down our favorite dishes to their stuffed squid, potatoes & swiss chard and their famous black risotto. A typical order we would get two mixed salads with cheese, bread and share an entree. Our waitress Jovana took great care of us and eventually when we asked they allowed us to come back to the restaurant to meet the owner Rino and the chef Jasna and invade their kitchen to see how our favorite recipes are made. We certainly aren't the first to discover this gem of a restaurant; Cesarica has been in the news, on YouTube and in travel magazines - touted as one of the BEST restaurants in town. Ask any local where to go, and literally everyone we asked mentioned Cesarica first. We were just lucky to find it randomly on our own first thing. In this episode we first attempt to make stuffed squid at home. Since Mason is an actual chef, Shelley took on the challenge to attempt to recreate this dish as an amature home chef. A valiant effort was made and made it even more fun when we got to come back to see how it's actually done!
