WORLDS QUICKEST VW MK2 GOLF - 1200+ BHP

The TTK Mk2 Golf was back at Santa Pod Raceway in the UK for the VW Action Show. The car is powered by an R30T VR6 Engine with a massive GTX5020R 88mm Garrett Turbo, and puts out well over 1200bhp to all four wheels. Having recently set a new PB in Germany of 7.97 @ 184mph, they were here to see if they could improve on that. In the end they got very close, with a best time over the Weekend of 8.02 @177mph. They then broke their Quaife Gearbox, which they replaced with a spare that they bought. The team managed to get back down to a time of 8.38, before breaking the clutch housing on their next run, and ending their day. This makes their car the quickest Mk2 Golf in the World, with the quickest overall Golf being a twin engined Mk3 in the USA that has run a 7.91. I don't think it will be long before the TTK team break this record. As always stay tuned.
