I recently got the chance to try out a Liquid Logic Delta V so I decided to make this video of two laps and write a comparison review. I have been paddling the Braaap for a little bit over a year now on pretty much everything I won't take my slicey boat down. From big water to tight technical creeking it excels in many ways but always has a spice factor that wasn't there when I paddled the Delta V. That being said, when I first got in the Delta it surprisingly felt a little more tippy then the Braaap even though the Braaap is much more narrow. Maybe it was the difference in length or maybe it was just a completely different style boat I wasn't used too. They both are extremely skippy boats, but again in very different ways. With a good boof stroke the Braaap stays on top of the water as well as being a great boat to sub out through holes. The Delta on the other hand stayed on top of the water with little to no effort and skipped out of holes like a breeze. Comparing a half slice to a full blown creeker is already weird. They both are great boats for what they are designed for. If you are boating class 3/4 whitewater I think many paddlers would benefit from the challenge a Braaap gives. The Delta V definitely gives you confidence and I definitely wouldn't turn down a lap on some harder whitewater with one.
