At the final round of Mini Masters Season Two, 110 racers gathered inside one of Britain’s most historic automotive sites — BMW MINI Plant Oxford. But this wasn’t just a race. RC Vision is a not-for-profit social venture using radio control motorsport to help young people discover their strengths in science, technology, engineering and maths. Through building, repairing and racing their own cars, participants develop focus, resilience and practical engineering habits of mind. More importantly, they begin to see how those skills connect to real opportunities and future careers. As the UK faces a growing demand for engineers and technical talent, the challenge isn’t just qualifications — it’s identity. Many young people struggle to picture themselves in STEM. Participation changes that. In a factory that has built over five million classic Minis — and more than five million modern MINIs — we brought the next generation onto the track to imagine what their future could look like.
