#delhicrime #chandnichowk #mayurvihar #chillaganv #ladygang In a major breakthrough, Delhi Police have solved a high-profile theft case that took place in the busy Chandni Chowk area of the national capital and arrested three women involved in the crime. The case was cracked within 72 hours, and all stolen gold and diamond jewellery has been successfully recovered. The arrested women are residents of Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh and were targeting crowded markets in Delhi. According to police, the incident occurred on January 28, 2026. A female advocate of the Delhi High Court, identified as Ms. S. Garg, had visited the famous Kinari Bazaar in Old Delhi to get her gold and diamond jewellery repaired. After the repair work was completed, she was leaving the market in the afternoon when three women took advantage of the crowd and stole the valuables from her bag. The victim realized the theft after some time and immediately lodged an online e-FIR. After the case was registered, the Kotwali police station swung into action. The police team scanned hundreds of CCTV cameras installed in Kinari Bazaar and nearby areas. The footage clearly showed three suspicious women moving close to the victim, with two of them seen removing the jewellery from the bag. During the investigation, it was also found that the accused kept changing auto-rickshaws repeatedly to avoid identification and police tracking. Based on technical surveillance and information from informers, the police traced the suspects to Chilla Village, Mayur Vihar, where they were living in a rented accommodation. A raid was conducted, and three women—identified as Preeti, Anmol, and Sanno—were arrested. A search led to the recovery of stolen gold earrings and 28 diamond stones from a necklace. During interrogation, the accused revealed that all three belong to the same village in Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh and had been involved in thefts and pickpocketing in crowded Delhi markets for the past 10–12 years. After committing thefts, they would return to their village for a few days to evade police attention. Police are now verifying their previous criminal records and investigating whether more members are involved in this gang. Officials have advised people to remain alert in crowded marketplaces and stated that timely action helped solve the case swiftly.
