Sunday 16th February, 2025 Service led by; Pr Robert Rwomushana K. Theme: Tomorrow Belongs To God Theme Scripture: Mat 6.25-33 Worry is a mental distress or agitation. Worry does not work alone but partners with stress. ✓Worry is a kind of weight that sits on you anytime you raise up. ✓ We are living in a time where worry has escalated. What do people worry over? √ over food √ over clothings √ over health √ over fashion √ over future Why does Jesus specifically asks us not worry? ✓ Worry takes away your joy. Worry makes one a loner. ✓ Worry makes unfruitful. ✓ Worry shows you're of little faith. Worry proves you don't trust in God. In other words, worry takes the place of God in your life. ✓ Worry brings fear yet God didn't give us a spirit of fear... 2 Tim 1:7 ✓ Worry can escalate to a level of suicide! ✓ And none by worry can add a cubit to their stature. Why do people worry? ✓ Because they have lost trust in God. Jesus therefore comes in and compares us (people) to birds: which of the two matters, birds or we (people)? Birds don't sow but reap/ harvest. How much more valuable are you (in the image of God) than birds? 💫 What you worry over may not happen. 💫 It may happen but may not be as bad as you thought. 💫 It may happen, but God is in charge. 💫 Things may come to you but God will provide a way through or out. ✓ Be concerned! For concern gives you a chance to identify and solve a challenge. Whereas, worry mainly focuses on things beyond what you may solve or else leave you no room for finding a solution. Mat 6:33 says...seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added on you. Is God #1 in your life? Don't worry! If you are Born-again, let God be #1. Cast your cares unto God, for He cares...1 Pet 5:7 ✓ When you worry over food, it means God is #2. Ecc 11:10, ...remove worry from your heart ✓ He who started it is faithful and will bring it to accomplishment. 🎯God can do anything at anytime: bless you, provide for you, secure you,...
