Transcript: China EV Post is reporting that Nio is preparing to launch a new full-size SUV called the ES9, likely to be unveiled during Nio Day at the end of 2025. The ES9 will sit on Nio’s latest NT 3.0 platform and is expected to stretch over 17 feet in length, positioning it above the updated ES8 as Nio’s new flagship SUV. Meanwhile, updates to several other Nio models are on the way—facelifts for the ES6, EC6, ET5, and ET5 Touring will roll out in May and June. These updated models will shift to a horizontal center screen design and feature Nio’s new Shenji self-driving chip. Nio's current flagship sedan, the ET9, just began deliveries at the end of March, while the refreshed ES8 SUV—possibly renamed from the ES7—will arrive in August. Nio’s sub-brands are also in motion: the Onvo L90 is expected to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show just nine days from now, and Firefly’s first model will officially launch on April 19. Finally, Nio’s next-gen smart driving system, Nio World Model, is now in early trials and should roll out to all qualifying vehicles by late May.
