How do I replicate the magnet position of my centre lock brake rotor on to a 6 bolt brake rotor? Due to a too good to miss offer on a carbon wheel set upgrade, I found my self with a couple of queries before making the purchase. The OEM setup of my Scott eride Ransom 910 has the Shimano centre lock brake rotors with the speed sensor magnet mounted very discreetly within the brake rotor. However the carbon wheels only had a choice of freehub type and rim size. The hub bodies themselves have a 6 bolt mount for the brake rotors which left me with the question: How do I replicate the magnet position on a 6 bolt rotor? If you have a similar bike set up to me then short answer is do a search for Bosch slim speed magnet for 6 bolt and you should find an item with a part reference number 1270015728, BDU3XX and or BDU4XX, that should do the job but watch the vid until at least 7:00 to be sure.
