German 1910 "Vulcano" Blowtorch Restoration and Test | Mister Patina

I bought this old Blowtorch online from a private guy for less than 10$. When it arrived i did some research and found out, that it is the model „Vulcano Alemania 311/268“ made by the company "Hähnel" in Germany. I started the restoration with disassembling this Blowtorch and saw that the brass parts are tarnished but in a good condition. The metal parts were rusted and the bakelite handle was in a very good condition. After disassembly i started with sandblasting the metal parts in the sandblasting cabinet, followed by bluing the parts by heating them up to around 300 degrees and quenching them in oil. After this process the parts are nice black and rustproof. The brass parts had to be wirebrushed at some points and got the mirror finish look by a 2 stage polishing process - compounding and finish. While reassembling, i replaced an old sealing against a new one and put some grease on those parts which needed it. In the final test i filled petrol in the Blowtorch (it fits 200ml) and preheated the blowtorch nozzle by firing up the fire tub. After 2 minutes i started putting pressure on the blowtorch by pumping with the rear leaver.
