Port Renfrew, Botanical Beach, Sombrio Beach, Sandcut Beach - Vancouver Island west coast

This is the second part of our trip to Vancouver Island. As we made our way towards the west coast, we first stopped at Mount Prevost. Although you can hike to the summit, on this occasion we decided to drive up there – the road is a bit bumpy but perfectly doable, and it will take you almost to the top (although there’s still a short but very steep bit you’ll need to hike). Once we reached Port Renfrew, we stayed at Wild Renfrew – it’s an absolutely unreal place right by the water, perfect for relaxing! From there we made trips to Botanical Beach, famous for its tide pools full of marine creatures, and Sombrio Beach, which has a really cool waterfall hidden in a cave. On the way back, we stopped at Sandcut Beach – it has a small but really cool waterfall.
