$16,000 Leica Unboxing. Is an 11 Yr Old Digital Camera Worth it?

After my unboxing video of the new Leica M11-D I started thinking about the original screen-less digital M body, the limited edition (600 units) M Edition 60 kit. This anniversary edition Audi design kit includes a matching stainless steel 35mm Summilux-M. After having a few discussions with my collector friend Francisco, he decided to buy it and allow me to do the unboxing. It was shipped all the way from our mutual friends over at All Good Friend Camera in Hong Kong (hi Billy and Danny!!). Are Leica digital limited edition camera kits worth it? If you're both a collector and a shooter, perhaps, as long as you understand that over time it will lose value (unlike most limited edition film M cameras). There are exceptions like the Leica M10-R Black Paint, currently being sold higher than the original retail price; but overtime a digital body will depreciate in price. However, the unique stainless steel finish 35mm Summilux-M can be used on both digital and film M bodies, so this lens will continue to retain its market value.
