Ten dead trout by foul hooking (snagging) today means ten less for others to catch tomorrow. Please, be respectful and don't be selfish just for the social media fame. Learn how to match the hatch and catch them properly which is ethical fun and keep the trout healthier. If the trout didn't inhale the fly then it's snagging! Why many other youtubers don't tell where they were but lots of people watch their videos? IMO, almost any viewer can catch more trout there than them hence, that's the reason they won't tell you the location. Here, I'm trying to inform viewers where I have been thus they can also visit the places and have a fun like me. FYI, when you see many other videos, which don't show how the trout is hooked or coming into the net mouth first but only show the release footage. No need for me tell you what happened to their trout. Even in the bait section, snagging (foul hooking) is illegal and more people are doing it intentionally last decade or so for the social media, very sad. Their excuse is always the same, it was all accidental even after snagging 2 or 3 trout later... The simple cure for those snaggers to not to hurt our fishery is "One Barbless Fly Only", No Pegging either. I have been advocating this for years but almost no one support me hence the C&R fishery is deteriorating every year. My experience of fly fishing is over 4 decades thus I know what I'm talking about. My guess is that most fisherman want to just hook some fish whether do it right or wrong way... BTW, I have hundreds videos catching lots of trout using only one fly!!!
