Sniper Elite is a third-person tactical shooter video game developed by Rebellion Developments and published by Namco and MC2 France, originally released in September 2005. Taking place in April 1945 during the final European battle of World War II, Battle of Berlin, players take on the role of Karl Fairburne, an American-German OSS agent who is tasked with preventing the Soviet troops from getting hold of the research Nazi Germany had been conducting into nuclear weaponry.
