When new products come to market, the availability of the boardviews and schematics which make repairs easier to perform, are not always available. In this case, we have a Mac Mini M1 unit of which I've never personally operated on previously ( though I have worked on Minis in the past ). This unit arrived with a "No power" situation and the sender wasn't sure if it was the integrated PSU or the logic board. For the voltage injection, only 0.5V at 1A was used. NEVER use more voltage and amps than you absolutely need to. With modern infrared cameras you do not need a lot of power to provide enough of a heat signature to be detected. Data recovery was the primary objective of this job, as with most Apple devices though, in order to recover data you need to have the logic board working almost completely again regardless.
