How do you do a back yard rock excavation when you have no access for a small excavator with a hydraulic breaker and you can't blast it because it is too difficult to get a load of blast mats in there? The hardness of the rock is such that a heavy hand held breaker can get through it slowly, with difficulty... the easiest way forward is to drill the rock and fill the holes with and expanding chemical cracking agent and then smash it out with a jackhammer.
