Tawharanui Regional Park, north of Auckland, is a refreshing escape into one of New Zealand’s most beautiful coastal sanctuaries. Just 75km up Central Auckland or 10km away from Matakana. It has several walking and hiking options that you can choose. In this walk, we chose the Ecology Trail as we could walk under the shade of the forest before going back to the beach.Along the way, cicada choir and birdsong fill the air. With rolling hills, rugged coastline, and crystal-clear water, this walk offers the perfect blend of serenity and scenic adventure—an ideal place to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.
