This is a video comparison between a Mesa 2x12 and 4x12 Rectifier cabinet, recorded with a AKG C3000B at about ear level from a typical playing position's distance from the cab. Doing this as a video is probably overkill since the only movement is the channel LED, perhaps... Playing's a little iffy, largely because I had just carried all 105 pounds of the 4x12 up two flights of stairs. Amp was a Mesa Roadster. Clean settings were (all o'clock positions): Channel 1 Fat mode, Master: 12, Presence 3, Bass 10, Mid 12, Treble 1, Gain 12:30. Gain settings were Channel 4 Modern, Master 12, Presence 1:30, Bass 9, Mid 12, Treble 1, Gain 12:30. The amp's poweramp was in Bold mode, with output at about 10:30 and a THD Hot Plate set for -8db of attenuation. The guitar was my PRS Singlecut SE in drop-D.
