This tiny breakfast nook in my kitchen features a DIY storage bench, that just happens to be my very first furniture build -- created completely from SCRATCH! At just 60 square feet, I wanted my breakfast nook to have multiple purposes—a cozy spot for coffee, a place to work on my laptop in the afternoon sun, and a chill place to chat and prep area for dinner. BUT I didn't want it to feel redundant to the dining room seating or living room sofa. This bench I designed provides a lid to hidden storage for all my random but necessary items, making it both functional and chic to look at!
