Materials & Tools Required: Materials: • Cotton fabric: 1.25 meters (for 3-4 years) • Buttons: 6-7 medium-sized (black for contrast) • Matching thread • Interfacing for button placket • Bias tape (optional for finishing armholes and neckline) Tools: • Measuring tape • Fabric scissors • Chalk/Marker for marking • Sewing machine • Iron • Pins • Seam ripper Measurement for 3-4 Years Baby Girl: Part Measurement (Inches) Chest 22 - 23 Waist 21 - 22 Length of Frock 20 - 22 Shoulder Width 9 - 9.5 Armhole Depth 5 - 5.5 Neck Width 4 Neck Depth (Front/Back) 3.5 / 1 Button Placket Width 1 - 1.5 Step-by-Step Cutting Instructions: 1. Cutting the Bodice Front (with Button Placket): • Cut 2 front bodice pieces, each with ½ inch seam allowance for the button placket. • Add 1 inch extra at the center front for foldable button placket. 2. Cutting the Back Bodice: • Cut on fold, following neck and armhole measurements. 3. Cutting the Skirt Panels: • Cut two skirt pieces (front and back) with width 2.5 times the chest measurement for gathers. • Ensure the length is about 14-16 inches. 4. Cutting Sleeves (if you add): • Sleeveless in this case (as per the design). 5. Preparing the Button Placket: • Interface the button area. • Fold, press, and stitch to make a clean front open placket. Step-by-Step Sewing Instructions: 1. Preparing the Bodice: • Sew the shoulder seams. • Attach the front button placket by folding the center front. • Finish the neckline and armholes with bias tape. 2.
