The Tumbler was designed as a military bridging vehicle and was equipped with a rocket booster to be able to perform a rampless jump. After testing the first version of the Tumbler, Bruce Wayne only asks "does it come in black?". That's how the Tumbler changed its color from the original ocher to black. The designers who invented the Tumbler combined a Lamborghini and a Humvee to create a crossover between an aerodynamic, fast vehicle and an armored, military one. First, I built a black Tumbler, but since the windows were as black as the Tumbler itself, it looked odd. So I decided to make the original Tumbler before it became Batman's Batmobile.
