The VECTEC T'LIFT tissue retraction system is used to easily retract the rectosigmoid colon during laparoscopic sacrocervicopexy. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Rosenblatt of Mt Auburn Hospital and Harvard Medical School for generously providing the clinical content. The needle applicator, previously been preloaded with the T'LIFT retractor, is introduced percutaneously into the peritoneal cavity under direct visual control. The applicator needle is then placed through the sigmoid eplicolicae. The T"LIFT is deployed by advancing the retractor through the applicator and thus, through the eplploicae. The needle is then withdrawn. The rectosigmoid colon is retracted to the desired height which fully exposes the presacral space and the longitudinal ligament. Continuous hands-free retraction is possible by the placing the included locking device on the T'LIFT retractor at the abdominal wall.
