[4k] Orbitron, join us as we admire the retro spaceship high in the sky above Discoveryland amid the gleaming universe of orbiting planets inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's visionary drawings of the solar system. Orbitron is a rocket spinner attraction designed by WED Enterprises and Walt Disney Imagineering which opened in the Discoveryland area of Disneyland Park on the 12th April 1992. The rides full name is Orbiton Machines Volantes or Orbitron Flying Machines. The ride is located in the centre of Discoveryland surrounded by Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Star Wars Space Mountain, Autopia and Café Hyperion Guests can control the height of the vessel whilst it spins around a galaxy of planets high above the sights and sounds of Discoveryland. Other versions of the attraction can be found at other Disney resorts, Disneyland California and Magic Kingdom Florida as Astro Orbiter, Tokyo Disneyland as Star Jets, Hong Kong Disneyland as Orbitron and Shanghai Disneyland as Jet Packs. Disneyland Paris is an entertainment resort in Chessy, France, 32 km (20 miles) east of Paris. It consists of two theme parks, 6 Disney Resort hotels, Disney Nature Resorts, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex and a golf course. Disneyland Park was the first park to open on the 12th April 1992 as Euro Disneyland with the resort known as Euro Disney Resort. A second theme park, the Walt Disney Studios Park, opened in 2002. Disneyland Paris has gone through a number of name changes since opening as Euro Disney Resort. On the 1st June 1994 the name changed to Euro Disneyland Paris before dropping the Euro part a few months later on the 1st October 1994. Between 16th March 2002 and 3rd April 2009 the resort was known as the Disneyland Resort Paris before changing back to just Disneyland Paris again.
