OceanGuard AI wins 1st Prize for Most Innovative Startup at the University of Birmingham Tech for Good Competition 2026, presented to industry leaders from BT Group UK 🥇 Our startup concept uses autonomous AI swarm drones to detect and map ocean-floor plastic and chemical pollution in real time creating the world’s first actionable Plastic Heatmap. 70% of ocean plastic isn't floating, it’s sinking to the seafloor, accumulating toxins, and entering our food chain. We set out to build a solution that identifies and cleans using a collaborative robotic swarm to map the depths in real-time 🌊 A highlight of our pitch was unveiling our Industrial Command Center.
