Behind the scenes filming a super-macro wildlife sequence with a FPV microscope

A short sequence showing the forest floor from insects' perspective and some behind the scenes showing the camera setup behind the shot. Excuse the shaky, OOF, badly lit footage, I was more concerned with capturing the action and not stepping on any ants... This sequence forms part of a film project that examines how the annual rhythms of a temperate European forest evolve through unprecedented times of heatwaves and unpredictable weather. Here I'm shooting super-macro footage (2-4x lifesize image) of Southern wood ants (Formica rufa) using a prototype moving cinema camera, the Venus Laowa 24mm macro probe lens and custom-built wide-angle macro probe lenses. The system is controlled by a playstation controller and can be used for both timelapses and live control.
