Drifting between art and science, this short film follows my friend George Griffin as he reveals his surreal erotic macro world—captured through an old 80’s surgeon’s scope he’s transformed into a portal for photographing flowers and insects. George, along with Valmond Leblanc and Paul-Édouard Bourque, came out to see his contraption in action on the very day a year-long dream of mine finally came to life: painting a four-story mural on the corner of Lutz St. and Main St. in Moncton, New Brunswick. George has always been a well of knowledge, a calm guide, a unicorn friend and the “wallie” who helped me speak to passersby, supported me through my Inspire Festival mural 2016, and reminded me how magical curiosity can be. Set aside some time, grab some popcorn, and watch this like a documentary—his vision is worth listening to, and you just might learn something you never expected.
