IBRAHIM MÜTEFERRIKA CHOIR TOUR Presented by the János Zsigmond Unitarian High-school choir from Kolozsvár/Cluj, Transylvania/Romania 18-23rd of April 2022 ABOUT US: The János Zsigmond Unitarian High School is one of Transylvania’s oldest, most recognized educational institutions, always ready for renewal. One of its strengths is that it builds upon the established values of 460 years of tradition. Many significant personalities of the Hungarian literary, cultural and scientific history have learned and taught here. Such spiritual giants inspire and encourage our youth and the teachers in this school. We believe that Ibrahim Müteferrika was part of this heritage, therefore we decided to name our choir tour in his honor. The Péterffy Gyula high-school choir is a vibrant community of students who enjoy singing together and creating music of joy and harmony. The repertoire often combines traditional choir and folk music with modern and world music that surrounds us. The choir toured several times in Europe and performed in Boston, MA in front of 10.000 participants at the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association.
