Suspected gunman booked on aggravated murder for death of Charlie Kirk

The suspected gunman in the assassination of Charlie Kirk was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail. During a press conference Friday morning, Gov. Spencer Cox identified the suspect as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old man from Washington City, Utah. Court documents show Robinson was booked into the Utah County Jail on charges of first-degree felony aggravated murder, first-degree felony discharge of a firearm, and second-degree felony obstruction of justice. Gov. Cox previously indicated the state would be pursuing the death penalty for the suspected gunman.
