I am everywhere in nature and travel, and I film and share the interesting things I see. Kharbas Cave is originally a natural cave in which water penetration in its structure has caused numerous cracks and joints, and over time, due to the gradual erosion, small corridors have been formed in this cave. Then, in historic times, these corridors widened and developed by man. The cave consists of two floors, the first floor is the natural part of the cave, and the man-made part is located on the second floor, which includes a rectangular central room and small adjacent rooms. The man-made corridors have been created in the marl beds of the Aqajari Formation and contain stone stairs that added to the visual beauty of this geosite. Along the corridors, almost intact pieces of marine fossils and seashells related to marine mollusk activity can be seen in the form of delicate excavations in its wall. Furthermore, the existence of niches with crescent-shaped arches and ceilings in the rooms all indicate a sort of advanced rocky architecture. Due to the rock architecture and numerous historical monuments and surrounding sites, this cave is most likely related to the historical period (Parthian and most likely Sassanid). Because of the rock formation of this cave, which is full of joints, fractures, and unstable rock fragments, numerous rock falls occur in this cave. This historical, cultural geosite is a good site to get acquainted with one of the examples of geohazards, rock fall
