The first video of 2011 features Fred Raymond's tango "In einer kleinen Konditorei" which was one of the biggest hits in the late 1920s... It was recorded in may different versions and languages (including a Japanese one which can be found on YouTube) and remains one of the most charming compositions of the roaring 20s... The version presented in this video was recorded by Saxophonorchester Dobbri (Otto Dobrindt) who alos recorded a version with vocals which can be found in my channel... I'm not sure what instrument is heard in this recording. Is it a so called "singing saw"? The video features images from prewar Berlin.... About the record : Parlophon B.17034-II / mx. 36806 Berlin, December 1928 Record in good condition. This record was recorded with an Ortofon Om78cartridge and stylus. The equalization (Westrex) and restoration was done as truthfully as possible
