Producers generally are great at growing crops and raising livestock, but many do not like keeping records. However record keeping is a function of profitability. Research shows the producers who keep good records are more likely to be profitable. Record keeping is broken down into 2 different types; financial and production. Traditionally producers like keeping production records, but for many producers the only financial records are their check registry.
