Casio MG-510 Guitar: A MIDI Masterpiece from the 1980s

This is a MIDI guitar that I acquired recently here in Tokyo. No work has been done on it as yet by me - not even new strings - so it's exactly as I received it. In the video, I go through some basic features, as well as talk about what needs to be done for a full restoration. Once we're out of lockdown, I'll take it out to the workshop and strip it down completely for repairs, after which I hope it will work even better, but, even now, it's a very good guitar with some remarkable features. I'm running it through the Kawai K1m module that came with it, as well as direct into GarageBand via a Focusrite interface. I've never really tried using a guitar as a MIDI controller before, but all of the sounds in the video were made on this instrument. It's pretty intuitive to use and also based around a fantastic Fujigen-made instrument.
