Santa Monica, CA — Santa Monica Police officers arrested a man at Santa Monica Beach on Sunday, April 6, 2025, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia. The arrest took place during routine patrols of the popular coastal area. Officers collected the man’s belongings — including an electric bicycle — loaded them into a police vehicle, and transported both the individual and his property for processing. The man was taken to jail, and his belongings were stored for retrieval at a later time. Authorities have not yet released specific details regarding the type of paraphernalia involved. Possession of drug paraphernalia is a criminal offense under California Health and Safety Code 11364, which covers any equipment or material used to make, consume, or conceal illegal controlled substances.
