I am ever growing my collection and this is just the most recent acquisition. I was greatly looking forward to it. I do have a Spencer from this region already in my collection and wear it whenever I can. A lot of the German clothing pieces we see nowadays are the folk outfits of the 1970s runways to now. The traditional clothes of the various European countries, Germany and it's regions in particular because that's what I know about, have things individual to them, varying even from town to town. Most dance groups stick to well known outfits and rules that were primarily developed in the early 20th century. The thing we need to remember is these are the clothes of the people and they would have reflected social status, regional differences, and sometimes integrated that eras high fashion. They're moldable pieces that can stand on their own or integrated into something considered more fashionable. I apologize for the chickens but I couldn't be bothered to film repeatedly, plus it wouldn't have made a difference. They like attention.
