Ashley Benefield, a former swimsuit model and ballerina was charged with murdering her husband and father of her child, Doug Benefield on September 27th, 2020 in Florida. The pair had met in 2016 at a dinner part during the presidential campaign and just thirteen days later, 24-year-old Ashley married 54-year-old Doug, who had lost his wife nine months earlier. She was convicted of manslaughter (with the use of a deadly weapon) on July 30th, 2024. She faces up to 30 years in prison.
