Rare recording from the band's Lost Highway tour in 2008, this one was previously basically unknown to Youtube from what I've checked. One day after their breathtaking show in Frankfurt, Bon Jovi wen to Austria to perform what would later be called the "scandal of the year" in the press over there. Not the band's fault though. It was the first event of that size at the Magna Racino and the combination of insufficient traffic plans and heavy rain had turned streets and parking lots into a mud bath. Some fans were stuck on site until 4:30 the next morning, others arrived to hear around three songs near the end, others never made it to the show at all. Bon Jovi threw a lot of the previous night's rarities like Bed Of Roses, Lay Your Hands On Me, Blood Money, Damned or These Days overboard and added some "B" rarities (of Jon-favourites if you will) like Complicated, I Got The Girl or Rockin' All Over The World instead. The band still pushed hard to make up for the circumstances and Jon's vocals at the end of Blaze Of Glory were almost as good as in Frankfurt a day prior. He really went for all of the outro! The entire show was captured as audio with a friend of mine having tracked down roughly 50 minutes of bits and pieces filmed with a camcorder back in the day. So besides a tricky audio, this meant dubbing around 20 snippets into the recording this afternoon. The audio was a bit of a hassle in terms of it having featured a really weird noise as if someone had either not transferred it properly or used noise reduction afterwards. In this case, it was more of finding a way around it by using a self-created sound clone, limiting some frequencies and simultaneously lowering others. Sounds worse than it was, it's overall surely a listenable one, but a bit hampered by its issues and not necessarily the level other recordings from that era had provided.
