During the security check at the metro station, his black bag suddenly went missing. The bag contained jewelry worth approximately 20 lakh. It is reported that the bag had two gold bangles weighing 65 grams each, one gold bracelet, one gold ring, three gold pendants, one diamond bracelet, and around 40 to 45 diamonds. Amid this crowd, on January 22, 2026, an incident occurred that once again brought the metro’s security arrangements and police vigilance into discussion. The case involved the theft of a bag filled with jewelry worth about ₹20 lakh, which took place at Kashmere Gate Metro Station. On that day, a trader was traveling by metro carrying a bag full of valuable gold jewelry from Chandni Chowk Market. Amid security checks and the rush of passengers at the metro station, a few moments of negligence proved costly. When he checked his belongings, the bag containing the jewelry was missing. He immediately lodged a complaint at Kashmere Gate Metro Police Station, and a case was registered under Section 303 of the BNS. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed by Kashmere Gate Metro Police Station along with the Special Staff. The police team first began examining the CCTV footage from Chandni Chowk Metro Station. After hours of effort, the footage revealed a woman wearing a pink jacket and black pants. She was seen picking up a jewelry bag in a suspicious manner and boarding a metro train heading towards Millennium City Centre. The investigation did not stop there. Internal CCTV footage from Barakhamba Metro Station revealed that the same woman traveled up to Noida Sector-52 Metro Station and exited through Gate No. 2.
