Part 1 of the new Nusa penida saga charter 🤓 a full-on island exploration day with some unreal views, a few questionable moments, and a very painful reminder from the ocean 🌊😅 Cliffside Viewpoints, Unexpected Wildlife Encounters, A Full Day On The Road And The Most Aggressive Wound Wash You’ll Ever See 😰🩹 Today kicks off with a coffee fuelled intro, a little moan and a look around the hotel before heading out. The plan? Simple on paper — explore some of the most famous spots on the island and take in the views with our driver that we hired for the day. What could possibly go wrong? After a bit of a slow start and a quick story time, we grab some Indonesian takeout and head into town, easing into the day with a wander through the streets and a quick café stop… featuring what might be the goodest boy we’ve met so far 🐶 But before long, things start to pick up. There’s an uphill march that definitely tests the legs, and then it’s straight into activity mode as the real adventure begins. First stop… some of the most insane viewpoints on the island. We hit Kelingking Beach viewpoint, and the views genuinely don’t look real — followed by Broken Beach, where the coastline somehow gets even more ridiculous. Of course, no trip like this is complete without turning it into a full-on photoshoot thanks to our driver😂 Then heading out to the cliffs of Manta Point… with a few unexpected ocean guests making an appearance along the way 🐬 We keep the momentum going, stopping off at another hidden cove before jumping back in the car and chasing down the next location. Crystal Bay brings the perfect mix of calm and chaos… because just when things seem relaxed, the ocean decides to humble me with what can only be described as the most painful wound wash imaginable 😰🌊 Not exactly the spa treatment we had in mind. After that… we slow things down a bit, wrapping up the day at a seriously swanky restaurant with a view — the perfect way to recover after everything the day threw at us. Another day that starts simple… and ends up all over the place.
