He went on to serve during World War II by building service bridges in Persia and helping out onboard transport vessels throughout Europe. It was while serving onboard a cruise ship that Jack met the woman that was to become his first wife and the mother of his child. Sadly, their story would end in tragedy. Jack Lord’s first wife was a woman by the name of Ann Willard. Shortly after tying the knot, Jack had to say goodbye to Ann for the time being so that he could continue to serve. While Jack was away, Ann found out that she was pregnant. Jack was only said to have seen his son once before Ann divorced him. That son would go on to tragically pass away at the age of only 12, leaving Jack childless. Both Jack and Ann went on to remarry, though neither had any more children.
