Welcome to Dresden, the capital of Saxony, Germany. Join us on a scenic walking tour along the Elbe River, starting at the iconic Semperoper at Theaterplatz. This famous opera house is a highlight of Dresden's architecture. After a peek at the Dresdner Zwinger (under construction), our route leads us to Schloßplatz, linking the cathedral, royal palace, and the picturesque Augustus Bridge. Next, we visit the "Balcony of Europe" - the Brühlsche Terrasse - for stunning river views. Stroll through Münzgasse to the Frauenkirche with its baroque architecture and towering dome. We explore the lively Neumarkt area, surrounded by historic buildings and modern cafés. See the Coselpalais and continue to Georg-Treu-Platz and Brühlscher Garten, before returning to Schloßplatz to check out the Fürstenzug, the world's largest porcelain artwork. Pass the Renaissance Stallhof and visit the Residenzschloss, home to museums including the Green Vault. At last we cross the Postplatz to enter the Altmarkt-Galerie shopping mall. We walk the Prager Straße, which is the most important shopping street of the city. Our journey concludes at Hauptbahnhof, Dresden's historic train station.
