This time I’m replacing my grow bags and old horizontal drums, cutting a few new drums down to a more practical size, and resetting the soil before anything goes in. It’s not the exciting part of gardening, but it’s the part that makes the rest of the season easier. If the containers drain properly and the mix is in good shape, the plants get a better start and I’m not fixing problems mid-season.
