The PDA has recently received the highly anticipated Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Metrolite system, designed to enhance urban transit efficiency and connectivity across the city. With two proposed routes covering a total of 39 strategically located stations, this project marks a significant step towards modernizing Prayagraj's transportation infrastructure. The Metrolite system is set to operate along two key routes: Bamrauli-City Lake and Shantipuram-Chheoki, spanning a combined length of 44 kilometers. The Bamrauli-City Lake route, stretching over 23 kilometers, is complemented by the 21-kilometer Shantipuram-Chheoki route, promising comprehensive coverage across the city. In this stakeholders' meeting, scheduled to discuss the DPR, PDA Vice-Chairman Arvind Chauhan will present the project to gather valuable feedback and suggestions from various stakeholders. This collaborative approach ensures that the proposed routes and stations are optimized to meet the needs of the community effectively. Following the stakeholders' input, the DPR will undergo further refinement, incorporating any necessary changes based on the suggestions received. Once finalized, the DPR will be forwarded to the Central Government through the state government for ultimate approval, marking a crucial milestone in bringing the Metrolite system to fruition in Prayagraj.
