The Location Dhipirri Barra & Sportfishing Lodge is located in East Arnhem Land, approximately 350 kilometres north-east of Darwin, Northern Territory. Milingimbi and Ramingining are the nearest local communities and accessing the lodge is best by private charter flights to the private airstrip at Dhipirri or you can fly in via Milingimbi or Maningrida. The Accommodation Dhipirri Lodge is a top class facility which was completed in October 2013 and is an ideal base for a remote fishing trip. The Lodge features a fantastic accommodation with combined guest lounge area, indoor-outdoor dining area and licensed bar. The air conditioned cabins accommodate up to 15 people and are configured on a either a twin or triple-share basis. The Dining & Bar The dining at Dhipirri Lodge is restaurant quality with the qualified chef preparing sensational meals each evening whilst the licensed bar is operated by the full time hostess. BARRAMUNDI The Barramundi is the iconic sport fish in Australia and is one of the main targets at Dhipirri Barra & Sportfishing Lodge. They are found in our surrounding river systems and along the coastline. GOLDEN SNAPPER The Golden Snapper is another favourite at Dhipirri being found on the reefs and on the rock bars in the river systems. Sessions on these fish can be hectic, with multiple hook ups and constant action common. TREVALLY & QUEENFISH GTs, Brassys, Golden Trevally and Queenies are loads of fun on the Barra gear. THREADFIN & BLUE SALMON These species are ambush predators and are often caught when chasing Barra in the rivers and around the islands. Early morning on the flats can produce some sensational Threadie action, and the Blue Salmon hit much harder than their eventual size suggests they should have! SPANISH MACKEREL Hold on when these bad boys hit! The bluewater fishing at Dhipirri can go off and getting hit by some Mackerel is some kind of experience. Trolling outside the mouths of the western rivers near Dhipirri can produce some insane sessions.
