This fight was widely considered impossible on hypermode difficulty. It has been done multiple times on easier difficulties and is a joke in comparison to attempting it on hypermode. To be able to beat Quadraxis no dark suit no energy tanks at the same time on the hardest difficulty may just be the hardest boss fight of all time... I believe that because even though the idea was the spam charged light beam shots I think I've pushed this fight to its limits in terms of minimalistic play and while it could be argued that less than 200 beam ammo could be possible to win with just look at how much of it goes to waste. I even ran out by the very end. If it were to be attempted with the bare minimum of 50 light beam ammo that would require a whole new strategy involving the use of super missiles, which are slow to charge. All the light beam ammo would need to be saved for phase 2 except even then that isn't enough as 90 is required for the antennas. It's bad enough with light beam ammo... using super missiles would be drastically slow. Furthermore phase 1 is the only phase that was consistent. Phase 2 is a nightmare as soon as the mini quad drops. Other than that if you don't get at least 2 health drops per drop in phase 2 and phase 3 you are finished as 1 health drop isn't enough to sustain you. (You need to pick up health before attacking the centre antenna and save one for after to go attack the head. Likewise in phase 3 you need 1 just for damaging the head and another saved while waiting to see what direction the head travels in so you can use it as close as possible to the leg Quadraxis is closest too.) I also wanted to proof that it's possible to kill Quadraxis and still get out of the room and progress with the game as you can kill Quadraxis and still die before making it to the next room. Which in my opinion makes your Quadraxis kill null and void so it doesn't count. It's the equivalent of Quadraxis offering a draw and you accepting it. To truly beat him you have to make it to the next room, take the energy from dark aether and make it safely back to save. Just for comparison sake. The dark suit allows you to take 1.2 damage a second in dark aethers atmosphere. So you have roughly 83/84 seconds at 99hp. The varia suit makes you take 6 damage per second so you have 16.5 seconds at 99hp. This fight is heavily reliant on health drops and if they aren't good it's pretty much game over. I would argue that this boss is harder than any dark souls game. Even a fist only challenge run. My restrictions were.. No use of Power bombs and no screw attacking the antenna in phase 2 as I belive those 2 things to be cheap. Especially for Quadraxis.
